How can I expand the reach of my opportunity?

Sharing opportunities. How can I share my opportunity via social media? How do I ensure that more people see my opportunity?

Naturally, you want as many people as possible to see your opportunity. After all, the more people read your opportunity , the greater the chance that the right person will see it!

We have some easy ways for you to make sure that as many people as possible see your opportunity. Social online technology makes it possible to reach thousands of people in a short time!

Tip 1: Share and dare to ask!

Dare to ask: Ask the people in your network, organisation or group of friends to share your opportunity as well. This way you can reach a multitude of potential volunteers, and of course, it's a small effort to share an opportunity from an organization you're a fan of with just one click!

By the way! In practice, it turns out that the social effect ensures that shared vacancies are viewed much more often and also have a higher application rate!

Here you can read how that works:

  • You can share your opportunity via social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) to increase your reach and chances at more applications under 'Share Deed'

  • ask volunteers within your network to share the opportunity via their own social networks, and generate even more reach.

  • you can share an opportunity more than once! If you haven't found (enough) volunteers yet, share the opportunity again after 2 weeks.

You can also Invite a Friend!

  • Click on the button “More”, on the right side of the opportunity in the opportunity overview (organisation page > opportunities tab).  Select "Invite"

Tip 2: embed opportunities on your own website!

You can embed the opportunities on your own website, or on any other website. The advantages of this are:

  • You don't have to write the opportunities twice.

  • The layout with the image makes the opportunity look more attractive than a link.

For some organizations, most potential volunteers arrive at the opportunity through an embed! Read more about embedding opportunities here.
