How can I assign users to activities?

You can assign users via the activities table and assign any status to the application. This will be immediately visible to the relevant organization.

As a platform administrator or moderator, you often act as an intermediary or facilitator. To support this “matchmaking,” we have made it possible to:

In both cases, an application is created. Below, you can read how assigning works.

Assigning Users

  • You can manually create an application for any activity.
  • You can set any possible status.
  • The application will be immediately visible to the organization.
  • The application will be immediately visible to the user.
  • Also possible if an activity is already closed or has ended.
  • NOTE: Only do this if you have permission from both the user and the organization!

When to use? Assigning is especially useful when the organization is aware or is the party that needs to take the next step. You can also use this to get the administration in order afterward.

How does it work? You can assign users to activities in a few steps by manually creating an application.

  1. Go to the administration panel.
  2. Click on ‘activities’. You will now enter the data overview of all types of activities. NOTE: Depending on the settings of your platform, this may have a different name.
  3. Find the activity to which you want to assign someone by using the ID number, title, contact person, or organization.
  4. Under the link to the activity, you will see ‘+ Assign user’, click on it. A pop-up will now appear with 4 input fields:
    1. Activity: this is already filled in but can still be changed
    2. User: search and select the desired user
    3. Status: choose the appropriate status
    4. Message: optional; this message will be sent to the user
  5. Click on'Assign and send' or 'Assign without notifying the user'.

FYI: Organization administrators and moderators can also do this at the organization level with their own members.
