# How do I edit the status of an opportunity, event, or activity?

## How can I edit the status of an opportunity? How can I take an opportunity down?

In the opportunity overview (profile icon \> organisation page \> opportunity tab) you'll be able to press on the status button (below the "status" tab), and mark an opportunity as "Open" or "Filled". If you mark an opportunity as "Filled", volunteers will no longer be able to find it. **Note**: this will not delete the opportunity from the database. You can always choose to mark is "Open" at a later moment.
