Achieve maximum impact with your organization page
Step by (optional) step.
1. Update your organization page information
Start with your basic information—this is the foundation for everything else. In the ‘Page Information’ tab, you’ll find all the info you entered when creating your organization on the platform plus a few extra options. Sections with a red asterisk (*) are required, but it’s best to fill in as much as possible!
Go to: profile icon (top right) > organization > your page > page Information
-
Complete all relevant basic information: website, social media links, contact details, categories, SDG's etc.
-
Enhance your page's look and feel with a well-sized logo and a beautiful background photo that reflects your organization and increases recognition.
-
Promote your organization even more (socially) by adding additional information or content.
-
You can even add specific information to help your members get started!
TIP: Use clear language, briefly explain your mission and the impact you're aiming for — this will immediately resonate with visitors.
2. Change your organization page's privacy settings
Privacy settings determine who sees what information and who can join.
- This article explains how privacy settings work and how to configure them.
OPTIONAL: In most cases, this is set correctly from the start, and you can skip this section.

5. Learn how to create and manage engaging activities
Activities are what your organisation page is all about. Depending on your platform, you can post one or multiple types of activities (e.g. opportunities, workshops, events).
- Post an activity. Read more about all the options here.
- You can, among other things, add a questionnaire to an activity to request more information and/or files. Practical if you want to see someone's driving licence straight away!
- Make sure you have a good description: clear, concise, with motivating language. See also our "Tips & Tricks: writing an engaging text for your activity / vacancy".
- Use an attractive cover photo or image: visual appeal increases sign-ups.
- You can also set up recurring activities or duplicate activities, so you don't have to enter everything from scratch each time.
6. Know how to manage registrations
Registrations are the bridge between interest and actual participation.
- View the registrations for an activity and adjust them where needed.
- You can download the details of registered volunteers for your own processing or follow-up.
- Know how to link a person to an activity by manually creating a registration.
- It's useful to know how Group registrations work.
7. Understand how the volunteer pool works
The volunteer pool is a way to actively reach out to potential volunteers.
- Reach out to someone from the volunteer pool. This article explains how it works.
OPTIONAL: it's possible that the volunteer pool is not enabled on your platform.
8. Increase the reach of your organisation page
Visibility is essential to get found and attract more members/activities.
TIP: keep doing promotion. Marketing is a matter of timing and you never know exactly when you'll reach the right person.
9. Make use of your data and analytics
Numbers help you inform and activate stakeholders. In addition, you can use them to support and improve decisions.

General tips & points of attention
- Keep your page continuously up to date. Regularly update your photos, activities and texts to keep everything fresh.
- Test settings: try viewing your page in the role of a "non-member" or "guest user" to see what is visible and whether everything works.
- Collaborate: assign multiple administrators or moderators so the workload is shared and you can respond more quickly to registrations/information.
- Ask for feedback: ask volunteers or members what they feel is missing or which parts they find unclear, and improve your page based on that.
- Plan ahead: for events, campaigns or themed months you can prepare content in advance, so you stay ahead of your calendar.
